Oil and scents are also mentioned several times in the Bible. Oil usually represents the Holy Spirit and the presence of GOD also. Oil was also used for anointing.
Scents and incense were used for many different occasions. Many of our scents were used in the temple during worship. As in Psalm 141:2, the psalmist asked that GOD accepts our prayers as sweet incense in HIS presence. Oil is used for beautification. Esther and other women in the Bible had to complete 12- month regimen with six-month beautification with oil of myrrh along with sweet spices and perfume in preparation to meet the King to be chosen as Queen. Esther 2:12.
All of health and beauty products include the combination of frankincense and myrrh along with other ILS and scents used in the Bible. Frankincense helps relieve stress, minimize anxiety and reduce pain from inflammation. Myrrh helps fade unwanted blemishes, reduction of eczema, and soothes itchy skin.
